Personalized Menu

Most standard software products have a full menu with all possible options on the same form. (Like explorer, MS-word, Excel etc.). It is impossible in ERP as the facilities are in hundreds and not all can be exposed to everyone. Some products have standard menus like material, finances; purchase etc.

Most international packages have a standard interface where you enter a transaction number. Base on your rights and permissions, this facility is made available to you. This is a practical, but an irritating way to remember the transaction / facility codes etc.

 In our service model, a separate menu is made for every user. It would contain whatever is needed by him from ERP depending on his current area of work and company policies. The menu normally has 30-40 software facilities that are in his area of work. This has no relation to the so called “Modules” in ERP. A marketing person can also view the material pending for inspection, if he is authorized to do so.

Every personalized menu is maintained by us for each individual in the company. It is re-configured when there is a change in ERP scope or shift in individual’s responsibilities. Everyone remembers his log on credentials only.  Not to mention, this way, we are aware of everyone’s working in the company.
